Loveland Colorado looking to the future

A push to the future, an article from the Loveland Daily Reporter-Herald, reports that the city of Loveland's facilities are running out of space.  Three major facilities - the library, recreation center/senior center and municipal building - at Civic Center Park all need expansion.  Ken Cooper, city facilities manager said, "We've virtually maxed out on space, so we have to do something."  Gary Havener, Loveland's Parks and Recreation director said, If we want to have a community-based, family-oriented recreation center then we probably need to do either the expansion or addition. And we are trying to do a little bit of both.  A planned 27,000-square-foot expansion to the library is estimated to cost $9 million and be designed and built in 2009 and 2010, but only if community groups raise $2 million.  If the money isn't raised, the library expansion waits another five years or more.
