Imagine going down a long straight dirt road in your horse and buggy. There is a couple of big hills but when you get to the top of the hill you feel like if you keep going a small town is just off the horizon. This small town would be known as Windsor which is located in Northern Colorado. Windsor was established over 120 years ago for its plentiful sugar beet fields but today it is the newest up and coming town in Northern Colorado.
You might not be driving on a dirt road but a two lane paved road will lead you into the heart of Windsor. This road has significant history since it was the 1st paved street in Weld County. So, what can you find when you enter this growing town?
The main street and old buildings are still part of town; however, you have to drive through the new businesses that are popping up! A newcomer to this area will notice the beautiful homes that line the streets, the magnificent lakes and fountains which hug the road and then you will see businesses. In Windsor, there are two grocery stores one located on each side of the main straight directly across from each other. Windsor offers a multitude of things to do. There are three incredible golf courses, three museums, a pool, ice rink and numerous community events throughout the year. If you are in the market for a new house, then check out the multiple housing developments sprouting around town. In Windsor, you can live in the country, city or even on a beach - overlooking a lake of course!

Windsor, however, holds true to its small town roots. In Windsor, everyone knows each other by first name and support each other in events. This is evident when a person attends a Friday night football game or the annual Windsor Parade. The entire town comes out to support each other.
If you are looking for that hometown feel but with a little flair then Windsor is the place to be located!
