Thunder in the Rockies comes to Loveland, Colorado
The third annual Thunder in the Rockies motorcycle rally at The Ranch in Loveland, Colorado is set for Friday, August 31st through Monday, September 3rd. The event is presented by Thunder Mountain Harley Davidson and The Ranch. The cost of the event is $10 per day or $15 for the entire weekend.
Many of the attributes of years past will return and visitors can look forward to new events as well. Some of the attractions include the Harley-Davidson Traveling Museum, Ball of Steel Stunts Show, the Thunder Mountain Bike Show, Rocky Mountain Bike Build-Off, Biker Games and Rodeo, Bull Riding, Dale Jr. Experience and Rolling Thunder Roller Derby. Many contests including strong man competitions, tattoo contests, Rocky Mountain oyster eating contests, Miss Thunder in the Rockies, and others will also encompass the event. Two of the Anheuser Busch Clydesdales will be in attendance as well.
Live outdoor concerts include performances by Freebird, a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band, The Groove Hawgs, featuring Lewis and Floorwax, and many other local acts.
Attendees can also join poker or scenic rides guided by one of the local HOG chapters, test drive Harley-Davidson, Yamaha and Boss Hoss demo bikes, visit the H.O.G. Pin Stop, and witness the Blessing of the Bikes. Over 100 exhibitors and vendors will be set up throughout The Ranch as well.
Comedian, Carlos Mencia and special guest Josh Blue will kick off the rally on August 31st at 7:30 p.m. inside the Budweiser Events Center.
